Summer Oil Series - Acne Prone

Summer time brings different challenges for many types of skin. In this article we will address Acne Prone Skin. On future articles we will address other types.
Acne Prone Skin Profiles have a hard time finding oils that might work for their skin. This can present a challenge because acne prone skin can often find certain oils to be problematic in relation to clogging and acne. Summer time will only increase this difficulty. There are options though!

Here are some oils we find that our customers tend to like that are less likely to cause issues for Acne Prone Skin Types.

Prickly Pear Seed Oil - Antibacterial, inhibits bacteria growth, does not clog pores, soaks in easily, excellent oil.
Hibiscus Seed Oil - Moisturizing, anti aging, skin softener, healing, used as a massage oil, reputed to help hair grow, high in Vitamin E, regenerative.
Argan Kernel Oil - Anti-inflammatory, excellent for hair, soothes irritated skin, heals skin conditions such as eczema, sensitive skin, and dry skin, softening, high in unsaturated fatty acids such as oleic and linoleic acid.
Baobab Seed Oil - Absorbs quickly, does not clog pores, conditioning, very rich and stable.
Safflower (High Linoleic) Seed Oil - It is believed by some that the essential fatty acids in Safflower Oil especially high linoleic help to counteract and prevent inflammation and provide other health benefits. Safflower oil is conditioning, which will help to retain moisture to the skin and help to hydrate and moisturize dry skin.
Camellia Japonica Seed Oil - Effective moisturizing, Penetrates skin fast, Forms protective barrier to seal in moisture, Restores moisture balance in dry skin, Conditions the skin after shaving, Protects skin from elements.
Watermelon Seed Oil - Watermelon seed oil is also very healing and can help to repair damaged and irritated skin. This oil is great for oily skin, as it tends to be slightly drying. Used since Egyptian times, very healing, emollient, great for oily skin.
