About Our HA (hyaluronic acid) Serums...

Hyaluronic Acid is a naturally occurring active that can hold up to 1,000 times its weight in water, causing it to be incredibly hydrating. It doesn't soak entirely into skin, and helps to creates a protective barrier on top of the dermis without leaving skin feel sticky or film-coated. This causes skin to appear younger, tighter, plumper and revived by hydrating deep into the pores of the epidermis.

Hydrating your skin is just as important as hydrating your body; without water skin becomes unbalanced, and without balance skin cannot truly be healthy and radiant. Hydration is also key, otherwise skin will become dehydrated and lose its natural color, glow, and become dry and irritated.

What is Optiphen?

Optiphen is a paraben and formaldehyde-free preservative. It consists of Phenoxyethanol and Caprylyl Glycol. The Caprylyl Glycol is essentially a carrier base for the Phenoxyethanol. Optiphen is a clear liquid that has no pH restrictions.  For use in a variety of formulas such as aqueous, anhydrous and emulsion products

Cosmocil CQ:

Cosmocil CQ is an effective broad spectrum, fast-acting bactericide and preservative. Cosmocil CQ acts against bacteria including the tough gram negative pathogens, yeast and fungi.  Accepted in EU, USA, Australia, Canada, China and pending approval in Japan. This acts upon the unprotected cell membranes of microorganisms.

INCI Name: Polyaminopropyl Biguanide

Geogard:

Effective alternative to parabens. Not animal tested. Eco-certified (classified as ecologically friendly raw material based on EU regulations)

INCI Name: Benzylalcohol, dehydroacetic acid.

Derived from radishes fermented with Leuconostoc kimchii, a lactic acid bacteria that has traditionally been used to make kimchi, this product consists of an isolated peptide that is secreted from the bacteria during the fermentation process that has been shown to have antimicrobial benefits. Leucidal® Liquid is accepted by ECOCERT as a preservative in certified organic cosmetics.

Potassium Sorbate:

Used as complimentary background preservative for the Cosmocil CQ.  Potassium sorbate is effective against yeasts, molds, and some bacteria.
