Generally, you want to exfoliate 1 to 3 times per week. So you can rotate this on exfo nights
with the Lacti-Sen Gel. Use only one type of exfo on your exfo nite, though, this or the gel.
3. Lacti-Sen Gel 2% / 3.2 pH ~ .5 oz
Distilled Water
Lactic Acid 2%
Dehydroxyxanthan gum
Sodium Bicarbonate
Optiphen
Application is 1 to 3 times per week. What you want to do is apply this and leave it on your skin for 20 minutes, then move on to the toning step without rinsing it off. The only exception to this is that if you experience burning or stinging, then rinse it off and work your way up to leaving it on longer each time you use it. It's very gentle, so you shouldn't have any issues with it, but we wanted to mention it just on the off chance that you do.
4. Red Wine Vinegar Toner [RVW] ~ 1 oz [w/spritzer]
Red Wine Vinegar Toner / Coco-Fen Clarifying Tonic: Tone twice a day. You can alternate them, one in the a.m. and one in the p.m. or use just one until you use it up. We do suggest, though, to use one at a time initially for a few days, just to gauge how your skin reacts to it. Sometimes too frequent of switching up of products can cause skin to get confused and act out.
6. Lavender Hydrosol ~ 1 oz [w/spritzer]
7. Lemonbalm Hydrosol ~ 1 oz [w/spritzer]
Both the Lavender and Leamonbalm hydrosols are the same as the toners above...try these
individually at first, then you can switch things up as you like.
Distilled Water
Baobab Fruit Pulp
Acai Berry Fruit Extract [no alcohol]
Watermelon Fruit Extract [no alcohol]
This is an antioxidant serum that will help protect your skin from free radicals.
Just apply a few drops with clean fingertips after spritzing with hydrosol.
Rosehip Seed and Fennl Seed HA Serums: These are hyaluronic acid serums that help hold hydration in your skin. Essentially, they form a barrier on the skin to help seal in the water based products that precede using these and help to prevent skin from becoming dehydrated. You'll want to apply a pea to dime size amount on your skin. Some gals like to mix a few drops of HA with a few drops of carrier oil in the palm of their hand and then pat it on the skin. The combo of HA + oils creates a moisturizer on your skin.
This would be used to seal in all of the products that you have applied. You'll want to make sure your skin is very damp and then apply a few drops (1 to 5) with your fingertips and gently smooth it onto your skin. Again, you might like to combine it with HA, since it can help with application and absorption.
12. Shea Butter Blend ~ .5 oz
- West Shea Butter
- East Shea Butter
- Red Ruby Grapeseed Oil *Organic* [cold pressed/unrefined]
This can be used in place of the oil blend. A pea sized amount is perfect to start with.. You'll want to apply it to very damp skin so that it will glide on easier. When oils and butters are combined with water/water based products, they become a moisturizer. Oil alone will just sit on top of the skin and make it softer, but it won't moisturize it since it won't absorb readily into the skin without the water. Extras to incorporate:
13. Moor Mud ~ .5 oz
Moor Mud is a facial mask. This can be used once or twice a week after cleansing (before exfo or on a night when you're not planning to any exfo) to help detoxify the skin and to help loosen clogs from the skin. Here's some additional info about Moor Mud. It's a liquid paste, so you'll just apply it to the skin and let it dry, then rinse it off and continue with the toning step and so on.
