The powder is turned into a gel by adding water. Aloe
ferox gel is exceptional among the gels of other aloe species because
of its high calcium and total amino-acid content. In this
regard (not my feelings) it far surpasses aloe vera and
other species utilised for
their gel.

Prepare the water phase first. Warm the water to 80 degrees F.  Dissolve the aloe powder in the water.
