This preservative is "Paraben Free" which is much less
likely to cause skin irriation. Germall Plus is a
patented combination of 99% Germall II
(Diazolidinyl Urea), the most active
member of the Imidazolidinyl Urea
family of preservatives, and
1% Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate (IPDC)

Germall Plus is a highly effective, broad spectrum,
non-paraben preservative for oil-in-water and
water-in-oil emulsions and water soluble
formulations. Germall Plus has no known
chemical inactivators. It is compatible
with virtually all cosmetic ingredients,
including complex ingredients such
as proteins and surfactants. As a
result, Germall Plus can be
incorporated into a variety
of leave-on and rinse-off
cosmetic and personal
care formulations for
reliable preservation.
