Versagel ME 750 is a patented gelled emollient from Penreco suitable for use in many cosmetic and personal care applications. Versagel ME uses hydrogenated polyisobutene (PIB) as the base for the gel, making it ideal material for use as a primary ingredient in formulating a crystal clear anhydrous lip gloss. It may also be used in a variety of other cosmetic applications including: Facial Moisturizer, Body Lotion, & Moisturizers, Baby Oil Gel, Suntan Oil Gel, Massage Oil, Lip Gloss, Ethnic Hair Gels, and Hair Serums. It exhibits unsurpassed clarity, excellent thermal and UV stability, and is compatible with most of the ingredients commonly used in cosmetic and personal care products. This gel is highly non-polar; therefore, it has a better affinity for non- or less polar materials such as fatty esters low HLB nonionic surfactants, cyclomethicone, and other synthetic and natural emollients (vegetable derived oils and butters).
